The 8th annual Columbus Film Festival will take place at the Gateway Film Center September 11-14th. The festival is returning after an amazing turn out from previous years. From the producer of the highly-acclaimed Get Out, Halloween, and The Purge series comes the new thriller Ma. Sue Ann (Octavia Spencer) is a seemingly harmless loner in Ohio. She eventually ends up making friends with Maggie (Diana Silvers), a new teen to the town. Sue ends up lending her home to Maggie for parties, but this comes with a set of rules. The film follows Sue Ann, or as the teens call her "Ma," and her character unravel as an antagonist with a facade. With gripping performances from Luke Evans, and Juliette Lewis, and Corey Fogelmanis, this terror party is one you don’t want to miss. - LD Over the past week Donald Glover released a trailer for his much anticipated project that is releasing this Saturday. Guava Island's trailer released at Gambino's event in New Zealand at PHAROS Festival. Guava Island is apparently a story of crime and features an amazing performance from both him and Rihanna. Unfortunately for us, the trailer has not been authorized yet. However, with a little digging through the #GuavaIsland hashtag on twitter, you may be able to find fan generated snippets of it. Netflix is looking forward to warmer days as they begin to release their summer lineup. With sequels having been announced for To All the Boys I've Loved Before and Kissing Booth, Netflix is now getting its users attention with some brand new content.
