EVBox Electric Vehicle Charging Station Earns ENERGY STAR® Certification

New York, July 19th, 2018 – EVBox, the leading global manufacturer of electric vehicle charging stations and charging management software, announces today it has earned ENERGY STAR® certification for their BusinessLine level-2 electric vehicle (EV) charging station.
About the ENERGY STAR® Certification
ENERGY STAR® is recognized the world over as a trusted source for determining energy efficiency. All ENERGY STAR® certified products are rigorously tested by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to ensure that they are designed to reduce unnecessary energy waste. Specifically for EV charging stations, it means the station is reducing energy waste during at least 85% of its lifetime.
ENERGY STAR® certified EV charging stations are also required to undergo extensive safety testing, as well as adhere to the industry’s open standards protocol (OCPP), which ensures that participating charging stations can operate on any participating network software.

EVBox North America continues to grow
EVBox’s BusinessLine, which was first introduced into the North American market in 2015, has been specifically designed to reduce waste during both all operating stages (such as idle, charging, and plugged in but not charging). Besides passing the EPA’s testing and becoming ENERGY START® Certified, it is also UL certified and OCPP compliant.
