Countries like Venezuela and Ukraine are in the middle of an ugly fight, stemming from economic inequality.
Venezuela is a country very much built on its rich resources, mainly oil. It appears that throughout time, the leaders of Venezuela and business interest have dominated this market, neglecting the development of agriculture.
National Geographic recently described situation, "Venezuela's economy is unraveling—and so is the confidence of the country's hard-hit population. Soaring crime, high inflation, and a plummeting living standard have sparked weeks of protest in Caracas and other cities."
The citizens of the country feel so passionate about having their voices and opinions heard, that despite the festive Carnival season in the country, thousands still took to the Capital of the city to protest (AlJazeera).
