TreWest is a 23-year-old female artist/engineer from Columbus, OH. Born in Columbus, OH and raised in Fredericksburg, VA, she began making music at the age of 12. TreWest was inspired by YouTube sensations such as Pryde and Devon Tracy. She started by using a Samson CO1U Condenser Mic and the Cool Edit Pro software and was using streaming sites such as Myspace, Reverbnation and YouTube to promote her music.
Between her playing AAU basketball and tennis she was forced to step away from the music for a while. At the age of 16, she relocated back to Columbus, OH to play basketball for her uncle at Centennial High School, where she was embraced in the Columbus community. Being known from the basketball scene, TreWest began to develop a name for herself. After only spending one year in Columbus, OH she relocated back to Fredericksburg to finish high school. At the age of 18(senior year in high school), she was offered a JUCO scholarship to a school in Boston, but gracefully declined. During that period, she began to focus more on her music and her craft. At the age of 20, TreWest decided to pursue an electronic media technology degree at the University Of Cincinnati which would allow her to learn the in's and out's of the media industry while also becoming a certified audio engineer.
At 22, she dropped her first official single "655" off her debut album “VA TO THE 6” and received numerous positive feedback, and shortly after dropped the official video for "655". After 655, she came back out with “330” featuring Dom2Timez than followed up with another single from her upcoming album “Run It Up” Produced by HustleTheGod which out now on YouTube Directed by Chem Vision.
