Released July 17 via Polydor Records, "Just Be Bodies" is the second half of a two-track EP alongside "Club To Your Arms" — and together, the pair signal the start of a new chapter for Walthamstow-raised singer-songwriter Rose Gray. Where "Club To Your Arms" was inspired by returning home to a partner after a late night in London, "Just Be Bodies" zooms out to the reflective morning after a night out — a companion piece that captures the warmth of being present, of being alive with people you love, uncomplicated and free.

"It's also about getting into my later 20s and realizing that life, love and friendships are only getting better," Gray explained. The visualiser, filmed in San Francisco, matches that spirit — open, luminous, and unhurried. The release follows a massive summer for Gray: a set on the Levi's stage at Primavera Sound in Barcelona, a second sold-out North American tour, and a sold-out headline show at KOKO in London, with a European run supporting Tove Lo still to come this November.

SOFI TUKKER wrote "Barthelona" in a makeshift studio inside a Sprinter van traveling from Las Vegas to Palm Springs — and somehow, that origin story makes perfect sense for a song this carefree and propulsive. The duo had been sneaking the track into their DJ sets and festival performances for months, with it consistently creating peak moments across all kinds of settings, making it one of the most anticipated ID reveals in the electronic world this year.

The hook — "Thought I left her in Barthelona" — is the kind of tongue-in-cheek earworm that sticks after a single listen, wrapping a nightlife-fueled story in the euphoric house-pop production that's made Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern festival favorites worldwide. The official music video, directed by Cayetano González, was filmed across Barcelona — a city the song itself conjured into existence — and it's as vibrant and colorful as the track demands. The release arrives ahead of SOFI TUKKER's Animal Talk headline tour of North America this fall, following a summer that's already included John Summit's Experts Only in Ibiza, Open'er Festival, Garorock, and Electric Love.

Super producer Harry Fraud and frequent collaborator Dave East have released "Minding My Business," the second single off their forthcoming album Price of Pain, dropping July 29, 2026. The pairing is one of hip-hop's most reliable — the two previously linked up on the acclaimed 2021 collaborative project Hoffa — and "Minding My Business" picks up right where that chemistry left off: focused, unflinching, and rooted in the kind of storytelling Dave East has made his calling card since emerging from Harlem's rap scene.

Harry Fraud's production is smooth but purposeful, giving East the perfect canvas to rap about staying in his lane, blocking out noise, and keeping his eye on what matters. Price of Pain drops July 29, 2026 — and if these two singles are any indication, it's shaping up to be one of the year's standout collaborative projects.

G Herbo continues the rollout surrounding Lil Herb: Lil Heroin Edition with the release of the official visual for "How Can I Lose," via Uptown Records — a video that captures the unwavering confidence, resilience, and mindset that have defined Herbo from the very beginning.

Produced by frequent collaborator Oz On The Track, "How Can I Lose" finds Herbo reflecting on the hardships that forged his perspective — revisiting the realities of violence, loss, and hustling while confronting the lasting effects of trauma, grief, and addiction that followed him into adulthood, underscored by the reflection:

"Bottom level, lower than a cellar, I got far from it." Directed by DREFILMS, the video follows Herbo from backstage settings into the streets of New Orleans, blending road footage with the city's energy to connect the song's reflections on survival with the day-to-day reality of his current touring life. The 17-track deluxe project also features "DND" with Ty Dolla $ign, and the long-teased fan favorite "Thug," which finally receives its official release. uDiscover Music

Loe Shimmy is a South Florida rapper, and "Bag Rite" is a globe-trotting single from his album Pretty Girlz Run The World, released July 24, 2026. The video, directed by Juan Galarza, takes him across international destinations.

It shows coastal street life and open-water views over a smooth, mellow beat.

Who is Loe Shimmy?

Loe Shimmy is a Florida rapper whose steady rise has drawn attention from major names. The Fader highlighted his songs "Not The Same" and "On The Run" in 2022, and his 2025 album Rockstar Junkie produced one of the publication's top songs of the year.

Drake has followed his career for a long time and featured him on HABIBTI in 2026.

What is on Pretty Girlz Run The World?

The 21-track album arrived July 24, 2026. Brent Faiyaz appears on "Run The World," Sexyy Red on "5 Star Freak" and Summer Walker on "Just Saying," though Shimmy performs most of the record solo.

The singles "Body Dangerous" and "Bag Rite" promoted the project. A standout track, "Aruba," was produced by D3 and is a moody, piano-driven song about a beach-themed encounter. A "Pretty Girlz Love Matcha" pop-up supported the rollout.

What is the "Bag Rite" video?

Directed by Juan Galarza, it follows Shimmy across destinations abroad, as the single's title suggests a rapper taking the bag around the world. It is a flex built on travel rather than flash.

The visual helped set up the album and gave listeners a clear picture of his lane: smooth, confident and global.

Nearly two decades after Love/Hate helped reshape modern R&B, The-Dream is back — and "Be My Lady" featuring T.I. is one of the standout moments on his long-awaited sequel LOVE/HATE II, released July 10 via Dreamboy Records and Republic Records. The beat has been described as sounding like a version of Ginuwine's "Pony" that's been chopped, screwed, and banished to the underworld — and T.I., fresh off his own farewell album Kill The King, slides in with the kind of composed, commanding verse only Atlanta's king could deliver.

The 17-track project marks The-Dream's first major-label solo album in 13 years, boasting a powerhouse lineup that includes Usher, Rick Ross, Pusha T, Swizz Beatz, Kelly Rowland, and Pharrell Williams — a roll call that reflects both his legendary status and the genuine excitement surrounding this return. The New York Times recently named The-Dream one of the 30 greatest living American songwriters, and LOVE/HATE II is the record that proves they got it right.

Philadelphia doesn't just have a music scene — it has a lineage. And "Norf Side," produced by the legendary DJ Premier, is proof that the line runs unbroken from Jill Scott to Tierra Whack. Released February 13 via Blues Babe Records/Human Re Sources/The Orchard as part of Jill Scott's album To Whom This May Concern, the track is a jubilant, percussion-driven love letter to the North Philadelphia neighborhoods that shaped them both — Scott's warmth and Whack's charismatic wit locking in together like they've been doing this for years.

Premier's production is characteristically sharp, giving the record an old-school grounding that lets both artists' personalities shine without ever getting in the way. The two recently performed "Norf Side" live together at Philadelphia's One Philly: Unity Concert for America, part of the city's America 250th anniversary celebrations — and the crowd's reaction said everything.

Khantrast is a Brooklyn rapper, born Anthony Zhang, and "She Bugging" is his 2026 single with producer Mr. Flintstone. The official video passed one million views within its first month.

What is "She Bugging" about?

The song turns the gold-digger story around. The woman in it has her own money and picks up the bill at dinner, and Khantrast treats that as the appeal. He keeps the delivery relaxed, which is a change from the staged street stunts that drive a lot of rap videos on social media.

Who produced "She Bugging"?

The beat comes from Flint, credited as Mr. Flintstone. The full title on streaming services is "She Bugging (Whatchu Gonna Do)."

The "She Bugging" video

Cinematographer Paul Song shot the video. Most of it takes place in a claw-machine arcade, a nail shop and a store that buys and sells gold, settings that read as New York and Asian American at once. The video arrived June 5 and cleared 100,000 views in its first week, according to streetwear label Project X Paris, whose Revolt zip jacket Khantrast wears throughout.

Why is "She Bugging" going viral now?

The song found a second life in late September. On September 30, Genius posted a Verified video of Khantrast breaking down the track, and TikTok users started clipping his explanation the same day. Know Your Meme tracks the trend as "Baby You Buggin'." One of the first edits passed 1.2 million views in six days, and a reenactment of the clip topped a million in two. Most of the memes use it for any moment someone is "bugging," slang for acting crazy.

What does the "yellow fever" line mean?

The song opens with a woman bringing up "yellow fever," slang for a fetish for Asian partners, and the rest of the track plays off that setup. LiFTED framed it as a turn away from the usual gold-digger plot: this time the girl has her own money and covers dinner. Coming from a Chinese-American rapper who often slips into Mandarin, the line works as commentary as much as a punchline.

Who is Khantrast?

Khantrast was born in Brooklyn on December 17, 1998, to Chinese immigrant parents. He speaks Mandarin and sometimes raps in it. He was previously part of the group TriKuza. He started posting music on SoundCloud in 2017 and broke through in 2022 with "She Bad," "Let's Ride" and "Big Stunna." His 2024 single "Landed in Brooklyn" became his biggest record. It also drew debate over its references to Asian stereotypes, and a 2025 remix added Kyle Richh. That year he took his Chinatowns Favorite tour on the road, dedicating it to his parents and other immigrant kids. He remains independent, released the EP Fake Love in 2026, and has more than 848,000 YouTube subscribers. Fall tour stops include Oklahoma City, San Antonio and Houston. For an earlier look at his style, revisit "Grimey Freestyle".

Quick answers

Where is Khantrast from? Brooklyn, New York.

What is Khantrast's real name? Anthony Zhang.

Who made the beat for "She Bugging"? Flint, also credited as Mr. Flintstone.

What is the "Baby You Buggin'" meme? A TikTok trend built on Khantrast's Genius breakdown of "She Bugging."

Jorja Smith is back with "Alive," a breezy new collaboration with Nigerian superstar Wizkid. The track arrives as the latest preview of her upcoming album What Are The Odds, due out August 21st, and finds the Walsall-born singer leaning into a warmer, more danceable sound while keeping the emotional intimacy that has defined her career since her 2018 debut, Lost & Found.

The single follows Jorja's recent single "What's Done Is Done" and continues a run of collaborations that has seen her connect with artists across the R&B, Afrobeats, and hip-hop worlds. Wizkid, fresh off his own run of global hits, brings a laid-back, melodic verse that complements Jorja's soulful delivery, and the pairing feels like a natural fit given both artists' shared affinity for smooth, groove-driven production.

"Alive" is out now on all streaming platforms, with What Are The Odds set to arrive on August 21st. In the meantime, fans can catch Jorja Smith live this summer, with stops across Europe and Latin America already announced.
