Glydways, led by co-founder and co-CEO Mark Seeger, has raised an oversubscribed $170 million Series C round as it prepares to launch its first public autonomous vehicle networks in 2026.

The funding round was co-led by Suzuki Motor Corporation, ACS Group, and Khosla Ventures. Additional participation came from existing investors, including Mitsui Chemicals and Gates Frontier, along with new investor Obayashi Corporation.

The new capital will support multiple pilot deployments set to go live in 2026, including projects in South Metro Atlanta, the New York City region, and the United Arab Emirates. These launches mark Glydways’ transition from development into real-world public operations.

Under Seeger’s leadership, Glydways is building a fully automated transit network powered by small, electric autonomous vehicles operating on dedicated guideways. The system is designed to significantly increase passenger throughput while reducing both infrastructure and operating costs. The company says its model can deliver up to ten times the efficiency and cost performance of traditional transit systems.

With this latest raise, Glydways has now secured more than $250 million in total funding, positioning the company to scale globally. The company’s long-term vision is to offer cities a faster, more flexible, and financially sustainable alternative to conventional mass transit—while improving the rider experience.

As its first systems approach launch, Glydways is aiming to demonstrate that its model can serve as a next-generation transportation solution for rapidly growing urban environments.
