One half of the rap duo ‘Talib Kweli’ updated fans via Instagram, stating “The new Black Star album was recorded in hotel rooms and dressing rooms across the globe, I love how my brother Yasiin Bey pushes me musically.”
Odds are the duo have put their solo careers to the side for a second in order to ensure this new project is the best they can possibly make it. 
Could this be what the music industry needs right now? In a climate that almost praises a lack of substance in its radio hits? Or will this dramatic shift in demand prove Black Star to be obsolete in today’s time?
