The Hics are a London duo comprised of Sam Paul Evans and Roxane Barker.

They fuse their unique musical backgrounds and vocal styles to form a harmonic synergy, born from their love of jazz, soul, electronic, and folk — The Hics have become a one-of-a-kind sophisti-pop duo.

After partnering with The Fiends, a management and creative agency, the duo is now based in New York for the summer of 2025. Following a sold-out show at Sony Hall with Dreamville’s Bas, The Hics are poised to connect with the magic of this city through a series of intimate live performances and DJ sets while finishing their debut album.

Their latest release is the eagerly anticipated 10-track album with Bas titled Melanchronica, released through Dreamville, The Fiends, and The Orchard NYC on June 17, 2025.

Tems new unique new EP Love Is A Kingdom arrives with seven carefully crafted tracks, offering what its press release calls an “exploration of love, power, and spiritual clarity.” Its standout single, “Big Daddy,” is an upbeat, sharply observant anthem in which she confronts the unreliability of a flaky lover—all with swagger, wit, and irresistible rhythm.
