CHAKZILLA is Chaka Khan's first album since 2019, announced for September 18, 2026. "Boogie's In My Soul," with Snoop Dogg, is its second single, released in June 2026 through EarthSong Records.

Pairing with Snoop Dogg is a smart, joyful move. Few artists carry the kind of effortless, generation-spanning cool that Snoop brings to a track, and his presence here feels less like a guest verse and more like a genuine creative partnership — two icons from very different lanes of music history, meeting in the middle for something undeniably fun.

This is Chaka Khan at her most playful — still finding new ways to surprise fans, still finding new collaborators worth her time, and still proving exactly why "legend" doesn't begin to cover it.

Belly Gang Kushington has been on an absolute tear, and "WTF GOIN" featuring 21 Savage is the latest confirmation that his rise isn't slowing down anytime soon.

Born Victor Thomas and hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Belly Gang Kushington began his rap career in 2020 and signed to Love Renaissance in 2024. After releasing his debut studio album The Streets Is Yours in April 2025, he had his mainstream breakout with his single "Friend Do (Remix)" featuring YKNiece. That track centers around twerking and drug dealing, and by the end of 2025 had become the most played song at strip clubs in Atlanta — a genuine cultural moment that put his name on the map nationally.

The momentum hasn't stopped. In March 2026, Thomas was named Billboard's Hip-Hop Rookie of the Month, and in May he was nominated for the BET Award for Best New Artist. "WTF GOIN" arrives as another major co-sign in his growing résumé — and pairing with 21 Savage, one of trap's most respected and consistent voices, only raises the stakes.

The official video brings the same gritty, street-rooted energy that's defined Belly Gang Kushington's catalog from the jump — confident, unfiltered, and built for the function. 21 Savage's verse slots in seamlessly, adding the kind of veteran weight that makes a record like this feel like a real moment rather than just another feature.

For an artist who's gone from rising name to Billboard Rookie of the Month to BET Award nominee in the span of about a year, "WTF GOIN" feels less like a breakout and more like a confirmation: Belly Gang Kushington is here to stay.

"It Depends" and "Obvious" are two singles from Chris Brown's twelfth studio album, Brown, and a joint video now ties them together as a double feature. Both songs reached No. 1 on Billboard's Rhythmic Airplay chart, making the visual a victory lap for two of the album's biggest radio records.

What is Chris Brown's Brown album?

Brown was released digitally on May 8, 2026, through RCA Records and CBE. It debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 with 65,000 album-equivalent units, giving Brown his 13th consecutive top-ten album in the US.

The lead-up included the singles "Holy Blindfold," "It Depends" with Bryson Tiller, "Obvious" and "Fallin'" featuring Leon Thomas. Producers on the project include RoccStar, Chrishan, The Underdogs, Metro Boomin, Tay Keith and Troy Taylor. The Chocolate Edition, announced June 3 and released June 19, added a 10-track deluxe set with guests including Wizkid, Tyga and Ty Dolla Sign, and lifted the album from No. 106 to No. 22 on the Billboard 200.

The album's guest list is wide: Fridayy, Lucky Daye, Tank, Vybz Kartel, GloRilla, Sexyy Red and YoungBoy Never Broke Again also appear. It reached No. 3 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and landed in the top 20 in Australia, Canada and the UK, where it hit No. 17 and No. 4 on the UK R&B Albums chart. The first single, "Holy Blindfold," arrived June 13, 2025 and peaked at No. 89 on the Hot 100.

What is 'It Depends' about?

"It Depends" came out July 25, 2025, with Bryson Tiller. It blends R&B with Bronx drill elements and interpolates Usher's "Nice & Slow," a nod to one of the genre's most beloved slow jams.

The song peaked at No. 16 on the Hot 100 and No. 3 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and a remix featuring Usher followed on October 17, 2025. The title itself suggests a conditional, back-and-forth tone.

What is 'Obvious' about?

"Obvious" arrived April 10, 2026, alongside the announcement of the album's release date. It is a mid-tempo R&B record that opens with a talk box and centers on the sexual tension between two prospective lovers.

It peaked at No. 57 on the Hot 100 and No. 13 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, a lower pop peak than "It Depends" but a strong run at R&B radio. Pairing the two in one cinematic video makes sense: one song plays the chase, the other the confession, and together they cover the album's smooth, adult-leaning lane.

"Fallin'" followed on May 1, 2026, a blues-leaning cut with Leon Thomas and background vocals from Tank, and the video for "For the Moment" premiered on album day. The staggered video schedule shows how the rollout was built: a steady drip of visuals rather than one big drop.

Quick answers

When did Brown come out? May 8, 2026, via RCA Records and CBE.

Who is on 'It Depends'? Bryson Tiller, with an interpolation of Usher's "Nice & Slow".

When was The Chocolate Edition released? June 19, 2026.

Tyla has built her entire artistry around a singular gift: making you dance and ache at the same time. "Is It Love" might be the purest distillation of that gift yet.

Released June 18, "Is It Love" arrives as the third single from Tyla's highly anticipated sophomore album APOP*, due July 24 via FAX and Epic Records. Built around soft R&B synth textures and a laid-back Amapiano groove, the track blends two of the defining elements of Tyla's musical identity — deep basslines, airy melodies, and subtle percussion creating a hypnotic backdrop as she explores the complexities of romance and emotional vulnerability.

On the new single, Tyla asks with total sincerity, "Is it love, if you don't cry?" then doubles down: "It don't mean shit if I don't see tears in those eyes." That emotional weight, carried by a club-ready rhythm, is exactly the juxtaposition that's kept Tyla's larger-than-life rise feeling intimate.

The official music video, directed by Aerin Moreno, finds Tyla dancing in a dissolving apartment as she's watched from the window by a love interest. At the onset of the video, the young superstar is engaged in enthralling choreography, prancing around an apartment adorned with blue-tinted hues — but as the video progresses, so does her despondency, and her surroundings begin to deteriorate. It's a visual metaphor that lands with real emotional precision: love, dissolving in real time, right alongside the room around her.

"Is It Love" follows previously released singles "She Did It Again," featuring Zara Larsson, and "Chanel." During the album's rollout, Tyla has already racked up major recognition — winning Best Afrobeats Artist and Social Song of the Year at the American Music Awards, with two additional 2026 BET Award nominations for Video of the Year and Viewer's Choice, airing June 28. She recently performed the South African national anthem at the FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Mexico City and joined Future for the official 2026 World Cup single, "Game Time," at the Los Angeles opening ceremony.

Tyla's summer is only getting busier — with a performance at Morocco's Mawazine Festival on June 21, a celebratory appearance on The Today Show's Citi Concert Series on the day APOP* drops, and further festival stops planned across Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, and Italy.

APOP* arrives July 24 via FAX/Epic Records. Stream "Is It Love" now — and prepare to feel every bit of it.

T.I. doesn't write farewell tours quietly. He writes them with bars.

Produced by Pharrell Williams, "Mr. Him" sees the Atlanta veteran tap into a confident, high-energy sound that blends flashy bravado with polished production — and it marks another reunion between two artists whose chemistry helped define parts of 2000s hip-hop.

T.I. is gearing up to drop his final album, Kill The King, and "Mr. Him" arrives as one of the key singles building anticipation for the project. He is easily one of the most legendary hip-hop artists still making music — and Pharrell's production here is exciting, while T.I.'s rapping stays confident and catchy throughout.

Kill The King, T.I.'s twelfth and final studio album, arrives September 25, 2026 via Grand Hustle Records and EMPIRE Distribution — with production from Villa Nova, Keepitphilthy, Bans, Decastro, FlexOnDaTrack, and Pharrell Williams. "Mr. Him" follows previous singles "Let 'Em Know," released January 18, and "Trauma Bond," released March 20.

"Let 'Em Know," the bouncy, braggadocious lead single built around driving chords and heavy bass, set the tone early — and the rollout has only gotten stronger from there. T.I. has also confirmed the King Succession Tour to accompany the album, giving fans one final run to see a legend close out his catalog the way he wants to.

Stream "Mr. Him" now, and keep your eyes on September 25 for Kill The King.

Some collaborations just feel inevitable. Dawn Richard and Durand Bernarr meeting on a record is one of them — and "baby, can we?" makes the wait feel worth it.

Released June 16 via Merge Records, the track blends the warmth of New Orleans soul with progressive R&B, funk, and smooth, feel-good grooves — with Dawn and Durand's voices gliding together effortlessly to create a duet that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking. The song also nods to classic soul with an interpolation of Aretha Franklin's 1972 favorite "Day Dreaming."

Produced by Katalyst Collective and combining harmonies with the groove of New Orleans soul, R&B, and funk, "baby, can we?" arrives alongside a music video that captures the warmth of the song just as vividly. Co-directed by Richard and Carl Harrison Jr., it's honestly beautiful — Richard, resplendent in gold, hanging out at what appears to be a New Orleans park, hitting line-dances with locals. The visual expands on the song's celebration of joy, intimacy, culture, and movement.

"Durand is one of the most gifted vocalists and performers of our generation," Richard says of Bernarr. "I've admired his artistry for years. This record gave us the opportunity to create something together that feels joyful, honest, and rooted in genuine connection. At its heart, 'baby, can we?' is about being open enough to embrace possibility."

Bernarr echoes the sentiment: "It was only a matter of time before Dawn and I collaborated on a record. As suspected, working together was effortless! I've long respected her innovation as an artist and the way she continues to evolve while remaining true to herself. I hope y'all enjoy the record as much as we enjoyed making it!"

The track follows Bernarr's Grammy win this past February for Best Progressive R&B Album for BLOOM. For Richard, it offers a glimpse into her next chapter, following her 2024 album Quiet in a World Full of Noise, made in collaboration with Spencer Zahn, and her single "A FLEX" released last year.

Two distinctive voices, one effortless connection. "baby, can we?" is the sound of two artists who clearly belong together.

When two towering figures of Southern hip-hop link up, a track rarely needs extra publicity. Yet on "Mahogany Caskets," the second single from Rick Ross's upcoming album Set In Stone, the Maybach Music Group founder ensures the internet keeps rewinding his verse.

Reuniting with long-time collaborator T.I., Ross delivers cinematic, luxury-laced street rap over a haunting beat—while quietly slipping in a direct shot at his primary adversary, 50 Cent.

The Bar That Started the Internet Frenzy

While the track's overall tone leans into aspirational street luxury, one specific line in Ross’s opening verse hijacked the conversation:

"You n*as checked in rehab when your single was slow."

Delivered with trademark composure, the bar was quickly dissected across rap forums as a direct reference to 50 Cent’s 2025 rehab stint. The two moguls have traded disses, social media jabs, and full-length records since Ross released "Mafia Music" in 2009. Rather than shouting, Ross buries the insult inside an otherwise opulent flex, proving that their 17-year feud remains active.

T.I. & Rozay: Chemistry Built on Decades

Beyond the feud narrative, "Mahogany Caskets" showcases two veteran lyricists operating at full speed. Having previously teamed up on classic cuts like T.I.’s "Pledge Allegiance" (2010) and DJ Khaled’s "We Takin' Over" (2007), the chemistry between the two remains intact:

• Rick Ross: Sets a dark, triumphant atmosphere, focusing his lyrical real estate on legacy, generational wealth, and survival.
• T.I.: Delivers a fast-paced, double-time verse that balances Ross's heavy, deliberate cadence with sharp Southern flow.

Setting Up 'Set In Stone'

"Mahogany Caskets" serves as the second major preview for Ross’s upcoming album Set In Stone (releasing July 17 via Gamma). Coming off the back of his French Montana and Max B-assisted single "Minks in Miami," the record positions Ross's new project as a return to executive-level, full-scale Southern rap.

What was supposed to be a triumphant victory lap for rising indie-pop artist Natanya briefly became a viral cautionary tale about artificial intelligence, creative vendors, and listener trust.

On June 5, 2026, the London-based singer-songwriter released "CANDYLAND!"—a synth-forward, 2000s-inspired pop single produced alongside Oscar Scheller. Accompanied by a colorful, "dreamcore" music video directed by Tally Francis, the visual was meant to highlight handmade craftsmanship, featuring choreography and a custom gown by designer Grace Diana.

Instead, within hours of its drop, online commentary shifted from the music to a handful of uncanny frames in the video’s opening sequence.

The Discovery: How Fans Spotted the AI

The music video originally opened with an animated, storybook-style intro depicting a character walking into a surreal candy world. Pop music communities on X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit’s r/popheads quickly noticed classic markers of AI generation: texture warping on background buildings and limbs morphing unnaturally mid-stride.

The backlash was immediate, largely because Natanya had previously said she was committed to human-made art. Fans were disappointed that an otherwise meticulously hand-crafted production seemed to rely on AI generative shortcuts.

The Response: "We Were Misled"

Rather than ignoring the criticism, Natanya and director Tally Francis initiated an internal review. After speaking directly with the hired freelance animator, it was confirmed that generative AI had indeed been used in the introductory sequence—without the knowledge or approval of Natanya's core creative team.

On June 11, Natanya issued a statement addressing her fans directly:

"I have heard you all & made adjustments. I love my craft fiercely & work on every painstaking aspect of it to give you guys the show I do. I honour true creativity & would never knowingly use AI generated content in a video. Myself, my director, and my team were unfortunately [misled]."

Shortly after publishing the statement, Natanya pulled the original music video and uploaded an amended cut with the animated intro completely removed.

Timeline of Events

• June 5, 2026: "CANDYLAND!" single and official music video premiere.
•

• June 6–10, 2026: Listeners identify generative AI flaws in the animated opening sequence, sparking debate across music forums.
•

• June 11, 2026: Natanya clarifies that her team was misled by an external contractor, scrubs the AI animation, and reissues the amended video.

The Wider Issue: AI Vendor Deception in Indie Music

Natanya’s quick resolution was widely praised by fans, but the situation highlights a growing problem for independent musicians. As generative AI tools become more widespread, freelance contractors and budget vendors increasingly pass off AI-assisted assets as original hand-drawn work. For independent artists operating on modest budgets, thoroughly vetting every frame of outsourced work has become an unexpected operational burden.

Audience tolerance for uncredited or hidden AI work—frequently dubbed "AI slop" by Gen-Z listeners—is at an all-time low. Listeners expect authenticity, especially from rising indie artists whose branding relies on genuine creative craftsmanship.

By taking immediate accountability, cutting the offensive footage, and publicly standing by her anti-AI stance, Natanya preserved her artistic reputation. The amended visual for "CANDYLAND!" is now live, letting the music take center stage once again.

Liim has never been an artist content to stay in one lane — and "R.I.P Peace" is another reminder of just how restless and rewarding his sound can be.

Released via three times LOUDER, "R.I.P Peace" credits Liim alongside AJRadico, Shamshawan Scott, Genny, and Erika Prihadi — a tight production team that gives the track its layered, lived-in texture. The official video is directed and edited by 9oodkid, shot by Aaron Fenichell, and produced by Tamara Soueidan, lending the visual a sharp, intentional eye that matches the rawness of the record itself.

The title says it all. "R.I.P Peace" doesn't sit in comfort — it sits in the tension of losing it, dissecting what calm feels like once it's gone, and refusing to pretend otherwise. It's the kind of record that rewards a few listens, the details revealing themselves slowly the way Liim's best work tends to.

The track follows a steady stream of recent singles including "Why Why," "Mezcal," "Older Than Me," and "Edward 40 Handz," building off his 2025 project Liim Lasalle Loves You. Liim's catalog has always leaned experimental — restless in its genre-blending, unafraid of dissonance, and consistently rewarding for anyone willing to sit with it. The Garnette Report

"R.I.P Peace" is another step forward for one of the more interesting voices working in underground hip-hop right now — unpredictable, unfiltered, and entirely worth your attention.

What is "Difficult Love" by Malcolm Todd about? It is a song about choosing someone who keeps breaking your heart, knowing they will do it again, and choosing them anyway. Todd released it June 5, 2026 through Columbia Records on his second album, Do That Again.

What "Difficult Love" means

Todd is not confused about the relationship in this song. He calls the two of them a problem and admits the damage to his ego, then stays. The song never argues that the relationship is good for him. It only says he is in it, and that he would start over again tomorrow.

Why the song has no bridge

"Difficult Love" keeps returning to its chorus with no bridge and no resolution. The structure does the same thing the narrator does: it goes back around. That loop is the meaning of the song as much as any single line.

Who produced "Difficult Love"?

Malcolm Todd produced the track with Charlie Ziman, Jonah Cochran and Matthew Castellanos.

The "Difficult Love" music video

Aidan Cullen directed the official video. It is warm and understated, with the lyrics shown on screen throughout.

Quick answers

What album is "Difficult Love" on? Do That Again, Malcolm Todd's second album, out on Columbia Records.

Who directed the "Difficult Love" video? Aidan Cullen.

Is "Difficult Love" a breakup song? No. It is about staying in a relationship that hurts.

"Difficult Love" arrives in the wake of a remarkable rise for the Columbus, Ohio-raised singer-songwriter. His breakthrough single "Chest Pain (I Love)," released in December 2024, went viral on TikTok and became his first entry on the Billboard Hot 100 — debuting at number 68 — while earning platinum certification in the United States and gold in Canada and New Zealand. Do That Again is the follow-up to his self-titled debut, expanding on the sound that made him one of indie pop's fastest-rising names — and tracks like "Jean Skirt," "Obsessica," "Breathe," and "Malcolm In The Middle" suggest a songwriter firing on all cylinders.

Do That Again is out now via Columbia Records/Sony Music. Stream it in full and don't be surprised when "Difficult Love" is on repeat for the rest of the week.
