Chris Brown Delivers a Double Dose of R&B Excellence — "It Depends" Meets "Obvious"

Two Billboard chart-toppers, one cinematic visual — and it's all part of the rollout for BROWN (The Chocolate Edition)

Chris Brown doesn't believe in slowing down — and the joint video for "It Depends" and "Obvious" is proof that even his victory laps come stacked.

"BROWN" was preceded by the singles "Holy Blindfold," "It Depends" with Bryson Tiller, "Obvious," and "Fallin'" featuring Leon Thomas — with both "It Depends" and "Obvious" topping Billboard's Rhythmic Airplay chart, extending Brown's record to 16 leaders on that list. Pairing the two into a single cinematic visual isn't just efficient — it's a victory lap two songs in the making.

"Obvious" is an R&B track about the unmistakable sexual tension between two prospective lovers, produced by RoccStar — first previewed during Brown's club appearances on the Breezy Bowl XX Tour in 2025 before officially landing as the third single from BROWN. "It Depends," featuring Bryson Tiller, arrived as the second single from the album back in July 2025, and became certified gold by the RIAA just three months after release, racking up over 500,000 equivalent units sold in the U.S. — a remix featuring Usher later won Outstanding Duo, Group or Collaboration at the 2026 NAACP Image Awards, as well as Outstanding Soul/R&B Song.
