Desible.ai Raises $3.3M to Build AI Agents for Banks and Insurers in India

Prime Venture Partners led the seed plus round for the year-old startup, which already handles 10 million customer engagements a month.

Desible.ai, a Bengaluru startup that builds AI agents for banks, lenders and insurers, has raised about $3.3 million in a seed plus round led by Prime Venture Partners. Existing investor Invention Engine also participated in the round, worth 32 crore rupees, Entrackr reported.

Founded in 2025, the company is already working with more than 40 financial institutions in India.

What Desible.ai Does

Desible.ai offers what it calls an agentic workflow orchestration platform for the BFSI sector, the Indian shorthand for banking, financial services and insurance. Its customers include banks, non-bank lenders and insurance companies.

The platform uses AI agents to carry out tasks that have traditionally required large call center and operations teams. Its use cases include collections, lead qualification, renewal management, claims intimation, welcome calls to new customers, tele-medical examinations for insurance applicants and cross-selling.

Those tasks span much of a financial institution's operations. Desible.ai says its agents work across revenue, risk, compliance, collections, underwriting, service and claims.

Desible.ai Traction

The company reports that it runs more than 25 agentic workflows for over 40 institutions and handles more than 10 million customer engagements a month.

That volume is notable for a business founded last year. It suggests customers are using the agents in day-to-day operations instead of limiting them to pilots, which is where many enterprise AI projects stall.

The Founders

Desible.ai was founded by Uttam Tiwari and Omkar Raikar. The company is based in Bengaluru.

How Desible.ai Will Use the Funding

The new capital will be used to expand the platform's agentic AI capabilities, strengthen its compliance infrastructure and accelerate product development for the financial sector.

Compliance is the piece that matters most in this market. Financial institutions operate under strict rules governing how they contact customers, what they can say and how they record it. An AI agent that makes a collections call or explains an insurance policy has to follow the same rules as a human employee, and the institution has to be able to prove that it did.

Why the Desible.ai Funding Matters

Indian banks and insurers serve enormous customer bases at low revenue per customer. That makes labor-intensive work such as reminder calls, renewals and verification expensive relative to the value of each account. It also makes those tasks an obvious target for automation.

Voice and language AI has improved to the point where agents can handle these conversations in multiple Indian languages, opening a market that earlier generations of chatbots could not serve well.

Competition is intense, with a growing number of startups selling AI agents to financial institutions. Desible.ai's approach is to go deep in one industry, building workflows and compliance controls specific to financial services instead of offering a general-purpose tool.

A follow-on round led by Prime Venture Partners, with an existing investor returning, gives the company capital to build on early traction. The test now is whether it can keep expanding within its current customers while holding to the regulatory standards the sector demands.
