For the first time in Columbus history, Parsons Avenue will be shut down, for a celebration!
From a press release by Community Development for All People.
This Saturday, we're going to make history.
For the first time in Columbus history, parts of Parsons Avenue will be shut down. Not for street repairs. We're shutting it down to celebrate Parsons - and the whole South Side - as a diverse and inclusive community for all.
Twenty-five different businesses and organizations on Parsons will be participating, and another 30+ organizations will have a presence at our Festival as well. We're all coming together to say that Parsons is no longer a dividing line between neighborhoods. It's now a place where all people can come together.
Sounds pretty cool, right? We're going to have live entertainment and lots of stuff for the kids to do (yes, there will be a bounce house!). So please join us from 10am-4pm on Saturday, May 4, and be part of Columbus history!

See you there!
