HiBob Raises $166M in Salesforce-Led Round at $3.2B Valuation

The HR platform has passed $400 million in annualized revenue as Salesforce and Slack bet on workforce data as the backbone of enterprise AI.

HiBob, the HR platform behind Bob, has raised $166 million in a round led by Salesforce with participation from Farallon Capital Management. The investment values the company at $3.2 billion, according to SiliconANGLE, up from the $2.7 billion mark it reached when it raised $150 million in 2023.

The raise comes as HiBob's annualized revenue has climbed past $400 million. The company, co-founded in 2015 by CEO Ronni Zehavi, operates out of New York and London and serves more than 5,500 organizations across 170-plus countries.

Salesforce's lead role and the $3.2 billion price were also reported by CTech. The new valuation represents roughly a $500 million step-up from 2023, a period in which HiBob's revenue base has continued to grow as late-stage software valuations reset across the market.

Why Salesforce Is Writing the Check

The deal is as strategic as it is financial. Salesforce and its Slack unit have been deepening integrations with HiBob, and both sides frame the investment around what they call "trusted workforce context," the org charts, roles, skills and employee data that AI tools need to be useful inside a company.

Joe Teplow, who oversees strategy for Slack and Salesforce's venture efforts, pointed to HiBob's "deep understanding of how organizations operate." Slack CMO Ryan Gavin added that workforce context makes AI "more relevant to the teams using it."

Zehavi framed the moment in bigger terms. "The biggest mistake companies can make is to think AI is primarily a technology story," he said. "It is an organizational and managerial revolution."

Inside the Platform

Bob started as a core HR system and has grown into a broader people platform. It centralizes employee records and workforce management, and includes Bob Skills, a database that maps the expertise employees already have inside a company.

On the hiring side, HiBob uses AI to generate job descriptions, distribute listings to more than 2,300 job boards, summarize incoming CVs and manage employee referrals and branded careers pages. A workforce planning tool lets HR teams simulate headcount growth before they commit to it.

The platform also includes an employee portal for company updates and tasks, a learning management system that pulls in third-party courses, and an MCP server that lets companies sync HR data into outside automation and AI tools. AI-driven course recommendations are on the roadmap.

What Comes Next

HiBob says the capital will back its push toward "organizational intelligence," using the people data it already holds to power AI experiences across collaboration, CRM, finance and operations software. Expect Slack to be a central surface for that work, with more conversational, employee-facing features built around HiBob's data.

Despite the revenue scale and a fresh unicorn-plus valuation, company leadership said an IPO is not currently in the plans. For now, HiBob is betting that owning the system of record for people will matter more, not less, as enterprises roll AI agents into daily work, and that Salesforce is the right partner to prove it.

The round lands during a busy stretch for HR tech funding, as investors look for software companies whose proprietary data can give AI products an edge over general-purpose models.
