Israel Adesanya aka Stlyebender, who recently signed a deal making him the U.F.C.’s second-highest-paid performer, won his second fight against Robert Whitaker in a unanimous decision.
Adesanya, the Nigeria-born New Zealander's tight victory in the main event of UFC 271 in Houston was his fifth defense of the title, sitting in second place to Anderson Silva. In an interview with the NY Times he mentioned, “I haven’t los that step. I’m still hungry,” said Adesanya.
It will take some time, maybe a couple years for him to catch Silva, but I'm here for it! Congrats Izzy!
