Kwengface collaborates with fellow Peckham rapper SL on ‘For One’ produced by Nyge and taken from his forthcoming project, ‘The Memoir’. Kweng and SL's contrasting flows combine perfectly against the bouncy, laidback production, showcasing their cadences and versatility. Directed by Lutch Media with Simon Stolland - who worked on the critically acclaimed Blue Story - on cinematography, the action film-inspired video follows a poker game that takes a turn after the lead's location is compromised. Kweng has had a very busy start to 2023, kicking off with solo single ‘Ben10’ quickly followed by an unexpected R&Drill collab with Mnelia on ‘White Lies’, proving there is nothing he can and won't do this year.

Born and raised in South London, Kweng has been rapping and writing lyrics as early as 12. He came up in the scene as a member of Drill collective, ‘Zone 2’, and was renowned for his distinctive high-energy flows, uncompromising bars and witty punchlines. Kweng became a household name following the release of ‘3 Stripes’ in 2018, still considered one of the most highly regarded tracks in UK Drill.

His reputation continued to spread following the release of the contentious single ‘No Censor’, which ended up being removed by YouTube, initiating cancelled shows and an injunction, forcing Kweng to question his future within the music.

Time passed, Kweng evolved, and 2021 became a breakthrough year for him following his debut mixtape ‘YPB: Tha Come Up’ and his legendary ‘Plugged In’ session, which went viral, accumulating over 13M views and counting. 2022 was another standout year for Kweng, with notable highlights including his acclaimed 12-track mixtape ‘YPB: The Archive’, performing at Size Sessions Festival and collaborating with Knucks on his triple Daily Duppy. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with Dizzee Rascal, Knucks, Digga D and Backroad Gee, and has continued to prove himself as a multidimensional artist.

Kwengface sent the internet into a meltdown in January with the epic video for ‘Ben10’ shot in Iceland, and then again when he filmed the video for his forthcoming single with Giggs on the streets of Peckham. Due out in April, ‘The Memoir’ is already making serious waves, and Kweng is just getting started. For more information on Kwengface, please visit: Instagram Twitter Spotify
