Written in the wake of Donald Trump's presidency, the first verse of "I Want More" calls on political figures to take a grittier stance against oppressive systems rather than conform to respectability politics, as well as the desire to see more artists with influence take on political stances.

In the second verse, however, written in the 4th quarter of the first year of Trump's presidency, Lynae shifts her perspective, emphasizing the power of the people. She challenges poltical figures she very well respects, yet takes note of the things that cannot follow us into true liberation-- advocating for accountability and genuine representation of the populace's needs.
