It’s been almost 24 years since legendary hip-hop duo Black Star released their first and only project, and outside of a single back in 2011, the group seems to have fallen off the map until recently.
A follow-up has been teased several times over the last couple years, but the latest update might finally lead to some fruition.

A follow-up has been teased several times over the last couple years, but the latest update might finally lead to some fruition.
One half of the rap duo ‘Talib Kweli’ updated fans via Instagram, stating “The new Black Star album was recorded in hotel rooms and dressing rooms across the globe, I love how my brother Yasiin Bey pushes me musically.”
Odds are the duo have put their solo careers to the side for a second in order to ensure this new project is the best they can possibly make it.
