TravClan Raises $5M From Flipkart, August One and Trifecta Capital to Build AI Travel Infrastructure
The B2B travel platform, used by more than 15,000 travel agents in India, has now raised over $11 million in total.
TravClan, a global B2B travel technology company, has raised $5 million from Flipkart, August One and Trifecta Capital, Entrepreneur India reports. Flipkart and August One invested in the company, while Trifecta Capital provided debt financing.
The new funding brings TravClan's total raised to more than $11 million, from investors including Leo Capital, The Ventures, Hashed, August One, Flipkart and angel investors.
What TravClan Does
TravClan provides software and booking technology for travel agents, covering flights, hotels, activities and destination services. The company contracts directly with hotels and activity partners and runs its own ground teams in Southeast Asia, the Middle East and India.
The company is led by co-founder and CEO Arun Bagaria and co-founder and COO Chirag Agarwal.
Traction Beyond the Metros
More than 15,000 travel agents across India use the platform, and about 40% of its business comes from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Where the Money Goes
TravClan plans to use the funding to deepen direct supply relationships, strengthen its AI and booking technology, expand destination operations in key international markets, and serve larger travel businesses and platforms.
"The next generation of travel software will not just help sellers search faster. It will increasingly execute work for them," said Bagaria. His stated goal is for TravClan to become infrastructure that other travel businesses can build on, rather than each rebuilding its own travel stack.
