Vichaar: The Dehradun Rapper and Designer Hitting Rolling Loud India

From NIFT Gandhinagar to MTV Hustle 4, Vichaar swapped a creative-director job for the mic.

Most rappers don't start out with a design portfolio. Vichaar did. The Dehradun-raised artist and former art director is on the bill for Rolling Loud India, where he hits the stage on Saturday, December 12, 2026, in Mumbai.

From design desks to the booth

According to StarsUnfolded, Vichaar's real name is Abhin Pandita, and he is from Dehradun. He studied at NIFT Gandhinagar and, before committing to music, worked in design and creative roles, including as creative director at Img Creators, which he left in 2023 to focus on rap. Early tracks "Azaad" and "Asar Hai Kya" went up on YouTube while he was still a student.

What to know

His first EP, Alter Ego, arrived in July 2024, and he competed on MTV Hustle 4 that year. His JioSaavn catalog includes "Mudda Kya Hai," "Kalakaari Vishwasniya," and "5 Fingers of Death," with a Red Bull 64 Bars cut, "UNDERDOG SHIT," listed as his latest release (September 2026).

He also appears on "United by Hip Hop" (2025), a multilingual posse cut with Reble, Paal Dabba, and 99side, according to Wikipedia. That puts him in a small circle of voices pushing Indian hip-hop across languages.

Why catch the set

Vichaar is part of the festival's homegrown strand, alongside names like Seedhe Maut, Raja Kumari and Dhanda Nyoliwala. If you like your Hindi rap with a designer's eye for visuals and a contest-tested stage presence, this early-career set is worth showing up for.
