Who Is Ravator? The Delhi DJ-Producer Behind "Short Sharaba" Hits Rolling Loud India
From campus-fest crowds to a T-Series deal and a 12-track debut album, Ravator's rise is a Delhi story.
If you have heard "Short Sharaba," you already know Ravator's name. The New Delhi DJ-producer is on the bill for Rolling Loud India in Mumbai on Saturday, December 12.
Delhi origins
Ravator (Harsh Singh, per Bollywood Hungama) started as a DJ in Delhi and works as a producer, composer, and DJ. Last.fm lists him as New Delhi-based, says he began making music in 2016, and notes that he has played some of India's biggest campus festivals.
The T-Series moment
In March 2023, Bollywood Hungama reported that T-Series had signed him. His first project with the label was the single "Adhoore Hum," which he produced, composed, and wrote, with vocals by Gajendra Verma. The same report notes collaborations with international names including R3hab, Bassjackers and Diego Miranda.
Sajna: a debut album built on features
According to Rolling Stone India, his 12-track debut album Sajna arrives via Vyrl Punjabi and explores love and its bittersweet aftermath. The guest list is a who's who of Indian pop and hip-hop: Aditya Rikhari, Vilen, Madhur Sharma, MC Heam, Burrah and more. Standouts on the tracklist include "Sajna Ve," "Raat Bhar" and "Maine Socha Hai."
Why catch the set
Ravator bridges club DJing, Bollywood-adjacent pop, and Indian hip-hop, the exact crossover Rolling Loud India leans into. Variety India lists him on Day One next to Burna Boy and Metro Boomin.
Dates and tickets
Rolling Loud India runs December 12 and 13 in Mumbai; Ravator plays Saturday, December 12. Tickets are on the District app, with info at rollingloud.com/india. The venue is still to be announced.
