Zomint Raises $3.75M Seed From Lightspeed for Wealth Management in India

The year-old startup gives each family a personal wealth adviser and acquires every client through its founders' 5 million-subscriber finance channel.

Zomint, an Indian wealth management startup that pairs every client family with a personal adviser, has raised $3.75 million in a seed round from Lightspeed and Prime Venture Partners. The round, worth 36 crore rupees, was reported by Entrackr.

The company launched in September 2025 and is aimed at working professionals and families, a group that has savings to invest but usually falls below the threshold for private banking.

What Zomint Does

Zomint offers personalized investment services. Each family is assigned a dedicated wealth expert, who is supported by an investment research team and by AI tools that track portfolios and progress toward financial goals.

The minimums are set to reach well beyond the very wealthy. Clients can start with a monthly investment plan of 25,000 rupees or a lump sum of 500,000 rupees. That places Zomint between do-it-yourself investing apps, which offer little guidance, and traditional wealth managers, which typically require far larger balances.

Technology is what makes the model workable. Zomint says each of its relationship managers serves more than 250 families, a ratio that would be difficult to sustain without software handling much of the monitoring and reporting.

A Content-First Growth Model

Zomint was founded by Aman Mittal and Shavir Bansal, who also run Bekifaayati, a personal finance content platform with more than 5 million subscribers.

That audience is the company's entire acquisition channel. Zomint says it brings in customers wholly through organic content. For a financial services startup, where the cost of winning a customer is often the biggest obstacle to profitability, an existing audience that already trusts the founders is a significant advantage.

Early Zomint Metrics

The company reports a 97% client retention rate since launch. One in three clients has made an additional investment within three months, an early sign that customers are deepening the relationship after the first transaction.

Zomint is barely a year old, so those figures cover a short period. Still, retention and repeat investment are the numbers that matter most in wealth management, where revenue builds over years as client assets grow.

How Zomint Will Use the $3.75M

The funding will be used to expand the wealth and investment teams, strengthen the technology platform and develop investor education initiatives.

Hiring advisers is the main constraint on growth in a model built around personal relationships. Even at 250 families per manager, adding clients means adding people, and the quality of those hires shapes the client experience.

Why the Zomint Funding Matters

India's investor base has expanded quickly in recent years, with millions of households moving savings into mutual funds and equities for the first time. Many of them are now reaching the point where a simple app is no longer enough but a private banker is out of reach.

Several startups are competing to serve that segment. Zomint's distinction is its distribution: a large, engaged audience built before the product existed. With Lightspeed and Prime Venture Partners on board, it now has institutional backing to test whether content-led trust can be converted into a durable advisory business.
