Meet Forest & the Evergreens As some of you know, the YourInfoDaily team are fans of music. Forest & The Evergreens is made up of Parker Muntz (vocals, guitar), Terrance Farmer (keys, saxophone, vocals), Mickey Drury (guitar), Jeff Bass (bass), and Mike Twice (drums). While in Columbus, Ohio this past weekend at the first ever FMMF (Fashion Meets Music Festival) festival held downtown - this band unique and original sound caught my ear and made me a fan instantly! Forest & the Evergreens, founded in 2011, describes themselves as a blend of neo-soul, R&B, and ‘young funk’ (self-dubbed and the title of their debut EP). This creates a sound that is unlike anything else! How do they sound live you ask? Well in one word: AMAZING. Every member in the band plays a crucial role in the overall sound, each having a solo to showcase their talent. Mike Twice is an absolute FORCE on the drums - complementing the vocals from Parker Muntz, who is also on guitar, with help from Mickey Drury. Of course, where would any band be without the bass right? Well, Jeff Bass HOLDS that down, and Terrance Farmer reminds us how AWESOME a saxophone can sound in a song, but hey, he also plays keys and sings too! Their debut EP, 'Young Funk', consists of 6 songs and a little under 22 minutes - you can listen to it here: Thanks guys!
