J. Cole’s new album K.O.D. is getting high praise since its release on Friday, and is expected to make a big impact on the charts next week. The project has already made an impact numbers wise, as the title track has broken the Spotify U.S. record for biggest opening day. Serving as the album’s intro, “KOD” was streamed 4.2 million times on Spotify, smashing the previous record of 3.8 million set by Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do.” Cole World takes the top spot surpassing Swift, Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA.” (3.6 million), Cole’s own “Photograph” (3.55 million) and The Weeknd’s “Call Out My Name” (3.5 million). Both the album and title track are set to make big debuts on the Billboard 200 album chart and Hot 100 chart next Monday (Apr. 30). The news comes one day after the North Carolina native dropped a music video for the song “ATM.”

J.Cole never stopped in surprising us. One thing I admire about this man is his passion for music. There are people who were discouraging him to sing because they believe that J. Cole was not talented enough to stay in the business. As the year goes by, he had proven all these haters wrong and he is here to say. Watching his latest music video, made me feel proud towards him! it wasn't an easy journey, but he got through this and he's making a huge name in music industry!
