Shoreline Mafia Members: How the Los Angeles, California Crew Went From 4 to 2
OhGeesy, Fenix Flexin, Rob Vicious and Master Kato: the lineup, the 2020 split, the reunion and the hit “Bands.”
Shoreline Mafia started as a four-man rap crew from Los Angeles, California: OhGeesy (Alejandro Carranza), Fenix Flexin (Fenix Rypinski), Rob Vicious (Robert Magee) and Master Kato (Malik Carson). Today the group is a duo of OhGeesy and Fenix Flexin, who reunited after a 2020 split and have been dropping new Shoreline music since 2024.
Who is in Shoreline Mafia?
OhGeesy and Fenix Flexin are the core. The two met in 2012 doing graffiti around Los Angeles and started making music soon after. Shoreline became a proper rap group in 2016, when they brought in Rob Vicious and Master Kato. Fenix was born in San Diego and bounced through Oceanside, Chula Vista, Huntington Park and Downey before landing in East Hollywood. Rob Vicious hails from LA’s West Adams, while HotNewHipHop notes Master Kato was born and raised in Chicago, making him the only member not from California.
Shoreline Mafia lineup changes, year by year
2016: The four-man lineup forms and drops the independent EP Trapped It Out that December.
2018: Atlantic signs the group in May and re-releases the 2017 breakout tape ShoreLineDoThatShit.
April 2020: Fenix Flexin announces he is leaving to chase his own creative vision, calling the split amicable. The rest of the crew soon goes solo too, and the quartet’s run ends with the July 2020 debut album Mafia Bidness, which hit No. 27 on the Billboard 200. Rob Vicious and Master Kato’s time in the group closes out that year.
2024 to now: OhGeesy and Fenix Flexin bring the name back as a duo. The single “Heat Stick” became their first Billboard Hot 100 entry, they performed at Kendrick Lamar’s Pop Out concert in June 2024, and the comeback album Back in Bidness landed April 4, 2025, ahead of their Coachella set. The eight-track EP Bidness Is Boomin followed on May 1, 2026.
Shoreline Mafia’s biggest songs
The street-party anthems “Musty” and “Nun Major” from ShoreLineDoThatShit both went platinum, and “Musty” put producer Ron-Ron in the group’s orbit. The biggest of all is “Bands,” the 2018 cut from Rob Vicious’ Traplantic tape, now certified double platinum. Later hits include “Gangstas & Sippas” with Q Da Fool and YG, and “Hollywood” with YG in 2025.
Shoreline Mafia on YourInfoDaily
We were there for the first run. Start with the “Bands” video, back when all four members were in the frame. OhGeesy linked with Detroit’s BandGang for “Homicide” featuring BandGang Lonnie Bands, a Ron-Ron production from the holiday tape OTXmas. That same project gave us the “Molly Water” video. The crew also teamed with Watts native 03 Greedo on “Traphouse,” a video where Greedo appears only as a cardboard cutout.
What are the former members doing now?
Rob Vicious stayed busy solo with his Fearless mixtape series, which reached Fearless 5 in November 2024, plus the June 2025 EP Kuma Vicious with King Kuma. OhGeesy and Fenix both built solo catalogs during the break, and Fenix dropped Fenix Flexin Vol. 1 in 2021.
