Evictions in England and Wales reach a record High amid rising costs of living and lower wages5/14/2015 Over 11,000 families were evicted in the first three months of 2015 in England and Wales, alarmingly up from last year. Evictions have been raising at an alarming rate in the last few years in England, and this has caused tremendous concerns for residents.  The Guardian reports, "The increase in the number of tenants losing their homes means 2015 is on course to break last year’s record levels. Nearly 42,000 families were evicted from rental accommodation in 2014, the highest number since records began in 2000."
Many places in the world are currently dealing with this issue of inflation, where wages are falling and the costs of living continues to rise. The Guardian goes on to say,"Rental prices have soared in many UK cities but wages failing to keep pace with rising costs and caps to benefits have left many poorer tenants unable to make payments."
