New research conducted and published by the Pew Research Center has found an increase in the percentage of low-income students at universities. Compared to data from 1996, Pew found that a much larger share of students are in or near poverty. This increase could be due to the uptick in university attendance and the emphasis on financial aid and scholarships for students. Image retrieved from: Pew Research Center The study also found that racial and ethnic minorities are increasing as a share of undergraduate students. This means we are experiencing some of the most diverse university classes in history with students coming from all different walks of life.

Wendy's has come together with GasBuddy to create the new "Badge" that benefits both the restaurant and the GasBuddy app. Since gas prices are currently raising nationally and people are looking for ways to save money, the GasBuddy app helps people find the cheapest gas within the nearest proximity of the driver. Wendy's gets involved by GasBuddy correlating the cheapest gas within proximity to a Wendy's restaurant. This way, people are more obligated to stop at a Wendy's when they go to get gas. With cheap prices starting to become a necessity for people, the badge feature is the perfect way to help drive up sales for the companies and cut down costs for customers.
If you love standing out then you'll love this collaboration. It was announced last year that Raf Simon would be leaving Calvin Klein, much to the dismay of his diehard fans. This collaboration with Adidas, however, gives those fans a glimpse into what his future looks like, and it's interesting. The line is selling fast with customers loving the bulky designs, bright colors, mirrored soles and strategically placed cuts. You're gonna want to get these before they're gone. KM
