The family and team around the tragic shooting that took place at a Walmart in Beavercreek, Ohio - got some much needed good news. Just days after the shooting and sudden death of John Crawford, 22, the Crawford family got the news that they have been waiting for.
Community leaders, volunteers, and many others rallied together on Broad Street. The Vigil for John Crawford, which was organized the Ohio Student Association, brought together several hundred. They received coverage from ABC and others local media outlets.
They gave a letter to Attorney General Mike DeWine - demanding the release of the footage of John Crawford's murder. The peaceful demonstration, including poetry, was a great chance to remember John Crawford and stand in solidarity as a community.
It is great to hear that today, Attorney General Mike DeWine has announced that the family will be able to view the Walmart tape of the footage. The FBI has also been asked to investigate in this shooting.
